What is this Platform about?
UAMFG is a portal and repository that seeks to bring hobby gardening, urban farming, permaculture, health and nutrition, and community interaction together.
What started with a few spare seeds and inherited plants has grown full scale into a thriving hotbed of ideas and possibilities. We strongly believe that urban agriculture and micro-gardens are the way ahead.
We may live in smaller homes in land scarce, heavily built-up areas, but that's no reason not to get knee (or elbow) deep in soil and enjoy the delight of caring for and then enjoying and harvesting your very own tropical flowers and leafy greens. Bonus--beautifying common corridors and helping community gardens flourish!

- To grow healthy plants that can thrive in urban and difficult to grow settings E.g. small plots or limited spaces in buildings.
- To grow plants that benefit the environment and humans E.g. edible plants, plants that reduce pollution, plants that require low resource utilisation, plants that take in waste products from another cycle and add value to the system
- Maximise space usage and minimise resource utilisation when growing plants in urban settings.
